After a few days in Switzerland, I am now back in Krakow to continue my polish adventure. So this morning I wake up at 04:20 - Yes daddy, before you! I arrive in Krakow just after lunch and spend my afternoon in office. Imagine how I feel this evening?  I don't have word to describe it... except that I am convince that I will fall in sleep in the next 10 minutes max.

I will be here in Krakow for the new Year eve. Currently no big plan but I will certainly go there. Polish guys seems crazy for New Year. They will just build 2 small stages of 100m2!

For the one that do not read french... the new blog layout is not a choice. By preparing a new (advanced) layout, I have fully broken the previous design... so I hope to be able to come back with something nicer this week.
Mmm... there is snow... Firs get decorated... Some strange lights everywhere in the cities... there is some Santa Claus hang at windows or chimney... oh my gog! hey buddies, Christmas is in the air!

So I think it's time for me to whish you all my best season's greatings! I hope you will have a nice Christmas eve with your familly, an happy hanoucca with yours or simply nice time with your close friends.

I thank you all for your visits on the blog!
Hi Folks!

Finally Winter is there! The first snowfall occured this afternoon in Krakow. Not a lot but enough to have white street and expecting some ice tomorrow morning when walking in the street.

The good news is that the commune is still removing snow for time being. But later on they will stop: Salt has no effect on ice when it will be under -12 ;-)

It reminds me some lyrics...

So quiet and peaceful
Tranquil and blissful
There's a kind of magic in the air
What a truly magnificent view
A breathtaking scene
With the dreams of the world
In the palm of your hand

Some snow picture will come this weekend! Have fun!
For once, I am not spamming you with numerous pictures of Krakow (Day, night, sun, rain, what you want ...) because.... I was not there!

Friday afternoon, after my business day, departure for the airport and a first flight to Francfurt. After a really short connection (as usual isn't it?), I jump into a plane for Porto. Nadia (my girlfriend) was in Portugal for a solo recital mixing violin and viola - so I arrive by surprise the night before. It was also the last nights of Nadia in Europe before a long tour in China. If you had some doubt, it's confirm- Nadia has no heart issue ;-)

For this weekend, I have not eaten any Pierogi but some bacalhau. When you travel, you have to eat local!

Sunday end afternoon, I am back in Krakow. I have to recognize it, after a "few" hours in a plane this weekend, I am tired to restart the week...
Krakow is far east on the CET timezone... so night is there already at 16:30 these days...

Strange the first day but really convenient for night picture. Here are some pictures realized during my first 2 days in Krakow.

Oh my god! Now it is really on the track for Krakow! My Wardrobe is empty and the moving company has packed everything... I feel like an homeless boy that lost all personnal belongings.

What's next?

Still a little bit of administration to perform (e.g. lovely swiss army) and some evening drinks. Then a big good bye and Saturday I will be in Krakow.

The meteo in Krakow seems a little bit like in Switzerland (for time being...)! I hope it will stay like this for my arrival!

In 1 week, I should be in my new apartment in Krakow (if everything works fine).

Today was the focus on the move preparation. Some photos to share with you this lovely moment!

Me voilà de retour en Suisse! Comme petit souvenir congelé de ce voyage, voici une petite vidéo de Cracovie...

Vu que c'est mon premier film sur iPod et iMovie, merci de votre compréhension

Hi Everybody, I am back in Switzerland!

As a small frozen souvenir from Krakow, here is my first movie done with iPod and iMovie. Thanks for your comprehension!

Since Sunday, I am in Krakow for a first Knowledge Transfer session with my new team. Quite a good experience:
  • I have meet a nice team with highly qualified professionnal! It will be a pleasure to work with them over the next 12 months. I will learn a lot with them
  • The researches for my apartment are well progressing. I should received some proposals at the end of the week.
  • The city seems really nice! When I will be there permanently, I will post you thousands of pictures. I mainly want to highlight:
    • the nice city center - highly restricted for cars
    • the good restaurants
    • Nadia do not read this - Some big shopping mall    :-)
We had a nice team diner this evening at ... a sushi bar! Yep - Krakow seems a good place for Sushi - Sakana Sushi Bar. It was the first time that I test "dessert" sushi - it's a type or rolled omelette with fruit inside. Surprising but quiet nice!

Tomorrow, I fly back to Geneva. I will come back next week for a second session. I hope to have a safe trip back as heavy rain is plan for the night and for tomorrow morning!
After a plan to be send for 1 year in a russian goulag, I am now on the way for 12 months close to Auschwitz... I prefer to be there in 2009 than 65 years ago ;-)

Joke apart, I will be in STA in Krakow working in Program Office for a global system deployment. New responsibilities, new team and of course a new county. For a first internation mission, it can be worst!

Hey buddy, can we come there?

NO WAY!  I will be living in a monastry and working 29 hours per day... So, no time to discover the 200 bars of Krakow, the 1000 local vodkas   ;-)   Seriously, give me some days (weeks?) to discover the city and then let's have some fun there and try together some pierogi with a glas of Vodka.

What's the plan with this blog?

Easy - to share with you my experience there and publish some pictures of my visits.

Hope that yoy will visit often my blog!
